Record of Asturion War - 0.2

Hello guys, as promised in recent comments, I bring you new version of Record of Asturion War.


You can download new release here (mega) or there (anonfile) (updated links to 0.23)


If you have old save, it will work, BUT I will advise you to start with chapter 34 (beginning of part 2). The reason for that are numerous skill, stat, or even class changes I made to characters in second part of the story. There's also one H-scene added in chapter 37 which will not be uncloked in your memory menu.


Major changes:

-10 new chapters, with new sexual content and corrupted girls

-Added memory/gallery option for h-events (memories for sex/corruption scenes, gallery for one-time images)

- Minor balance changes to old maps, in particular "Defiance of the Dukes". In general, allies should be able to hold out a bit longer

-Some characters got their unique models/chara illustrations

  3. Dev, I must say ROAW is looking great so far. but I can't see the Memory/Gallery Option anywhere. is it on the title screen? because it's not there.

  4. Dev. Goodday to you. I just finished this version of the game and I must say, I'm greatly satisfied! Thank You for the update (Sure, Renan was evil. But bosun was a monster in comparison). But I bring unfortunate news regarding the bugs and concerns I found in this version.

    It's quite a lot but I feel that as a fan of yours. It's my duty to notify you about these sooner than later, and helping you in a sense as well as to show my gratitude. w/out further ado, here it is;

    1. Can't Find the Memory/Gallery Option. It's not in the Title Screen, War Room or anywhere.

    2. Art Sprite of "Elissandra" when she was informed of Jetho's (and bosun's) presence by "Velka" in the map "dearest sister", is already of her "Dark form". (She's not yet "recruited" at this point). and in the dialog after her defeat, "Jetho's" art sprite "multiplies" for some reason.

    3. EVERY H-Scene (both in "recruitment" and the side stories) repeats when you view it, and the "H-sounds" (Yeah, "That" sound) that some of those scenes makes does not go away until you start the mission. (the "H-sounds" gets override by other normal songs)

    4. The battle scenario in the map "Raise your flag" is ENTIRELY SKIPPED and IMMIEDIATLY proceeds to "Baldas" dialog about his defeat, until proceeding to the next chapter. (when you click the "Start Battle" button and press "Yes" in the question "Start the Chapter?"). making you skip the potential EXP, Items, Mission Dialogs, Bonus Gold, Bonus Battle Points, Etc. (Good thing I'm on cheat mode or I'm screwed if I played on normal)

    5. I Don't know if it's part of the game or not, but the "Gate" leading to Felzen and his team in the map "Giant Killing" can't be "Defeated". and no potential goodies in the "Camp" where "Griegori" stands in the beginning of the mission. (I mention this because of "Isolde", A potential "Recruit" if it's possible in this chapter. and the lower "Castle" itself for possible goodies.)

    6. After the events of "Autumn King". I have slight concern. Is "Theodia's" eyes originally blue or red? both her art sprite and H-scene reveal different colors. She was "recruited" by diff means so it doesn't make sense.

    7. No goodies in the Castle on the map of "Preemptive Strike". and an enemy "Esquire" is stuck between the "Castle", "Enclosure" and "Mountains" preventing him to move to attack your forces.

    8. I noticed that "Erika" has no H-scenes. If any at all (Even her "recruitment" scene). and a side story was dedicated to her regarding that in the map "Defense in Depth". Is that a suspense or something? Hehe...

    9. In the map of "Defense in Depth". When "Gallus" attacks you in enemy turn, A Certain bug crashes the game (Record of Asturion War 0.21\Graphics\charchip\General(F)(Axe)-c.png). I Uses Jetho's Cheat Weapon to bypass this. Killing him in one shot.

    10. In the Info of the war room. only 1 "H-scene" is revealed. ("Picnic") Don't know if this is part of the current version or a hidden bug that prevents other "H-scenes" of other captured heroines. Also in the "Conquest Status". regardless of the Heroines you captured, it doesn't update itself. (It says "0 out of 21" and never changes, don't even know if "Claudia" or the other Heroines are counted or not)

  5. A continuation of my post above this (due to reached maximum character capacity, hehe...);

    11. In the map of "Hearts of stone" . there is a bug where the "(Heroine) eluded your capture..." does not appear in "Repanse" (the other Heroines have this, leaving to doubt if her defeat is "counted" in her "Conquest Status"). nor did she have a dialog when defeated and "Retreats". Nor did "Bran" and "Jehan", but "Osbert" has it. (this applies in other maps as well.)

    12. In "Gates of Ostashia". "German's" full body art sprite is missing, Only his Face art sprite is seen (Don't know if that's the same case in Marek's ARC). and is there another heroine (or "side heroine") that can be "recruited" if you wait a few more turns in this map? (Also, this is a perfect map to include the "Woman bandit lord" i mentioned before. Hehe..)

    13. A Certain bug happens that causes the game to crash when the enemy attacks you in their turn, in the maps "Overlord" and "Vae Victis" (Perhaps in other maps as well, but so far I only encounter this bug in these 2 maps) (Error: attack\attack_realbattle.js, Line 315:'null' is null or not an object). I manage to bypass this problem by turning "OFF" the "Real Battle" in the "Config".

    14. In the map "Vae Victis". Only 1 Dialog (unless "Junia" has fought them already and it happens to only 1 ally she fights per mission) happens when "Junia" fights her former allies in the whole mission. I wonder if it is necessary to see their dialog for Junia's "Recruitment".

    15. It's Unclear If Junia is Capturable in "Vae Victis" (or in this version of the game). I closely Followed the "Conquest Status" prior to her capture and I was supposed to capture her in this map, but the words "(Heroine) has been taken prisoner by Imperial forces" did not pop up ("(Heroine) has eluded your capture..." also did not pop up on "Junia" in the map "Overlord").

    16. A few typo and grammar errors in both ARCS (not too serious at the moment, but worth mentioning).

    17. Is the "Game Over" mentioned in "Defense in Depth" meant the "Light" ending?

    1. Thanks Lord Zero, this is immense for me.
      I'll look immediately into those bugs. Many of them seem to be caused by the way game tracks gallery, ugh. I'll try to see why it doesn't work for you, but in my trial run, it unlocked as it should.

      AD 5 This is WAD, Felzen's army isn't meant to be defeated, and maps with allies are so troublesome I resroted to such ham-fisted approach.

      AD. 6 Pre-Corruption Blue, I didn't make her pre-corruption sprite yet (and I don't know if I will, since it would be just for this one scene). Nice catch :)


      AD. 8 Yes, Erika, as talked in her dedicated support covo, will have a bit... unique H-content

      AD. 10 As of current version, there are only two such scenes, and second one is almost basically impossible to obtain within given timeframe. So you're OK.



      AD. 12 Cornelia appears in this map if you didn't catch her beforehand.

      AD. 14 IIRC Junia has unique dialogue only with Flavia and Cornelia (since Beatrice is required for her own corruption).

    2. Ah. Thanks for your reply Dev. I pray the bugs i found helps you. :)

      And ahm, I think that Junia HAD a unique dialogue w/ Beatrice as well. (Tried attacking Junia w/ Beatrice "first", not Flavia or Cornelia, then the dialogue between the two former besties pops up)

      And is it safe to assume that Junia is not yet capturable in this version? Then I Defeated her in "Overlord" and "Vae Victis". Only her "Retreat Dialog" pops up. (the only map where "Junia has eluded your capture..." came is in "Hearts of Stone")

    3. Ahhh, you mean in reverse. Yeah, uncorrupted Junia should have dialogues with all corrupted Padanian units.

      She can be absolutely captured, but she's toughest to do so ATM. You need to capture Beatrice in chap. 47 and defeat Junia at least two times. If you only had retreat event, you triggered first defeat, but there's still second one, after which she gets captured.

      Woah!? she can be captured? but do tell me Dev. did I do something wrong here, she was not captured in her 3rd Defeat (even when got Beatrice in ch. 47). let me tell you what I did and saw.

      I defeated Junia in ch. 45 (1st Defeat, and first time I saw her in the map and "Junia has eluded your capture..." DID pop up)

      then Captured Beatrice first and Defeated Junia again in ch. 47 (Second Defeat, but "Junia has eluded your capture..." DID NOT pop up. She just "retreated")

      and finally Defeated her for the 3rd time in ch. 48 (but the "Junia has been taken prisoner by Imperial forces" or "Junia has eluded your capture..." message or something like this did not pop up. She Retreated once again). I even used beatrice herself to do the finishing blow.

      and when you said Junia can be captured. you mean her "recruitment" scene is can be seen as well in this version?

      I'm currently using 0.21. i just noticed 0.22. is there a Diff between the two (mega and anonfiles)?

    7. I think there is still a bug with the capture of Junia (I made to sure to defeat her 2 times, got the cutscene of the sister almost capturing her but I can only trigger 2 out of 3 speech of her former companions. The last to attack Junia doesn't trigger anything.
      I can try to put a save somewhere if you want to reproduce the problem.

  9. Dev. I have downloaded 0.22, and I noticed slight differences from 0.21. Here it is :)

    The Memory/Gallery Option is still missing in 0.22, do i really need to used my save from ch. 33 and start over in ch. 34 like in i did in 0.21? I mean does the Gallery option will appear in the title only when i got my first scene? or should I start a new game from the title screen but skipped to ch. 34.

    Art sprite of elissandra is fixed in "Dearest Sister" (when she discovered jetho's forces), and Jetho's art sprite does not multiply anymore (after elissandra's defeat in this map).

    The battle scenario in the map "Raise Your flag" (where baldas is) is working now in 0.22 (It doesn't skip anymore)

    While the H-scenes still repeats, the H-sounds does not anymore, but the music stops indefinitely (until battle songs plays and turns it back to normal) when the H-sounds starts until the H-scene ends.

    In "Preemptive Strike". the "Esquire" is no longer stuck. (Replaced by an archer)

    I'm gonna play the game from a new game then skipped to ch. 34. I hope I can find more changes. Sry. I found out about 0.22 too late.

  12. Thank you for making this game! I really enjoy playing it.
    But I've encountered the bug which @Lord Zero already listed in post. It's the bug in the Defense in Depth mission, where the file "General(F)(Axe).png" is missing. I'm playing on easy.
    Is there any way to bypass this? Or is it possible to get the cheat weapon after you've selected the difficulty level?
